With all the pictures popping up of Jessica Alba wearing Marchesa dresses to almost every event, it sparked my interest. I've always loved Marchesa, but I've found them to be a little bit too dressy for my nightlife wear, but then I spotted this gorgeous, short cut, tiered pink beauty
over at net-a-porter, and it was love at first site. Totally perfect.
This Marchesa piece has built-in bust support allowing you to enjoy the dress without worrying about underwear. The flirty tiered skirt, short hemline and girly fuchsia hue make this the perfect piece for a youthful cocktail look.
(pictured above) Match it with a pair of silver Jimmy Choo Leo metallic sandals, a Chloe Plexi leather clutch and a Philippe Audibert cuff.
All found at Net-a-Porter.
About Marchesa: British born Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig launched their label, Marchesa, in 2004, fresh out of the Chelsea College of Art and Design. They named the line after the eccentric, exotically dressed European socialite Marchesa Luisa Casati, who became the muse for their collection. With eyes fixed firmly on the red carpet, their modern glamorous eveningwear ' think strapless silk gowns with 3-D rose appliqués - has gained high profile and fabulously dressed devotees such as Scarlett Johansson, Mischa Barton and Sienna Miller, and recently they added their second line, Notte by Marchesa, to the fold. 2006 was a triumphant year for the glamorous Brit pair - they were nominated for the illustrious CFDA/Vogue fashion fund, too.
