i love her clothes. i just went to steve and barry's today and spent $80. I bought 2 pairs of "Bitten" jeans, one pair of roll up cargo pants by "Bitten" one pair of Dear AB jeans (which is Amanda Bines? collection) a pair of sweats (that kept ringing up for $2.98 instead of $10.) and a top. All the jeans were super soft which i love. and it is hard to find jeans for me because I am only 5'4". Bitten and AB jeans both come in "short" which are the PERFECT length for me. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE COLLECTIONS..!!!

I haven't seen anything from this collection yet, and I'm sure it's fine, but I wouldn't buy it because my personal pet peeve is celebs hawking stuff they would never wear themselves. Bitten is advertised as containing nothing that costs over $20, so tell me how much SJP would wear it.
J. Lo put her name on the sleaziest, cheapest stuff ever, I don't think she'd wear any of it except for self-serving publicity purposes. And have you ever see the cheap garbage kids' clothes that was Mary Kate and Ashley's line? Like their books, it was junk made just to make them money. Joan Rivers used to hawk costume jewelry on QVC, I bet she wouldn't even have let any of it in her penthouse, as she was famous for wearing flashy, expensive jewels when she had her show. Etc. |

I'm gonna agree with magnolia. i actually went to check out bitten while i was home in ny and really didn't like anything there. maybe too young for me? although i'm 22... so maybe not? haha. it was just poorly made and silhouettes that i've seen 100000 times over. i'm an h&m girl... love their constant changing silhouettes. it's delicious!!!
but ya in regards to celebs pushing product... it bothers me. honestly - i don't swoon over any celeb and i think it's so silly they do this! i went to fashion school and there are a TON more girls with more talent that should have the money to put out a line... but instead these celebs who can't seem to get enough $$ venture into yucky perfumes (Chanel still rules that category), horrendous clothing (PLEASE don't even get me started on how AWFUL JLo and Baby Phat are... they make me want to puke), barbie dolls (Kimora Simmons is getting a doll... it's slutty, ugly and tasteless. way to go idiot - teach our young girls how to be tacky!). it's sad... really sad that the market is FLOODED with this crap. not to mention - while i LOVED SATC and drooled over the clothing - Sarah J Parker is really really REALLY ugly. if any of us saw her on the street as a regular person - we'd never be like "OMG I WANT HER CLOTHING AND PERFUME!" also - it was her stylist that made her this "fashion icon"... not her. |

Oh, I understand why they do it ($$$) what I don't understand is why anyone cares. The celeb is being paid to gush over the product. The highest bidder gets the endorsement. So how can you possibly take what they say about it seriously? And as for the clothes worn on SATC, of course they were gorgeous, but I think they cost a bit more than what Bitten pieces do, lol. |

o for sure... that's why i laugh at sponsorships and stuff because honestly it doesn't mean crap. i mean even in the pro-snowboard world that i'm immersed in... ya know that guy Shawn White? okay well I know him personally - nice kid - hi brother's wayyyy better looking - whatever. he's been sponsored by ALL these companies and really - it's just for the cash. i think he's with Mountain Dew, Amex, Volvo, etc... and knowing him i'm like "oh right... as if he CAN'T possibly live without his Mtn. Dew!!" :)

Some of her stuff is cute. I bought a couple shirts from her line, but I never wear them because the shape is weird after I washed them. Now Amanda Bynes has a line at Steve and Barry's called 'Dear'. Most of the stuff would be fit for a 12 year old though from what I've seen. It's doesn't look very mature.
