What??? Now I watched the "Today" show yesterday, and granted, the expert was a low budge Whalemart schlepping tart, but she said skinny jeans were "out". I can't keep up.

Hmm.. whether skinny jeans are in or out i can't go back to boot-cut/ bell botttoms (it would be a dramatic change.... suddenly going from snug to very flared) - for me.. it'll have to stay! |

I think everything is in as long as it looks good on you! It's all about personal style! and looking good in clothes. I love skinny jeans, but i dont look good in them right now (need to loose a few pounds) I also dont look good in flats, even tho they were/are in I try not to wear them because they dont look flattering on me. so....... i you like skinny jeans and feel you look good in them, wear them dont listen to anyone else.

Again, going back to my "skinny theory"..... if you are skinny, looks good. I have bigger hips and they make me look even bigger. I agree! |

Is it mean of me to think that my cousin (she's on the heavier side) shouldn't wear skinny jeans??
She wears them and it doesn't flatter her at all! It makes her look small on the bottom and biiig on top. ![]() I'm not trying to sound shallow or anything, but if someone doesn't look good in it...they shouldn't wear it. I know I go by that rule lol.

I mean, they still make jeans in every type/style, but we don't talk about them as a trend or question their worth. Bootcut jeans used to be the "trend" but now that it's not a "trend" people still wear them regardless of what the fashion world says.
To me it's crazy the way the "skinny jean" phenomena is. My friends and I have been wearing them for like 3 years now, but only in the past 2 or less have they become this fashion trend. I don't wear them because they are a "trend" but because I like the way they are tight and I don't have excess fabric hanging off me. I love my bootcuts, etc., but my skinnies are the ones I always wear because they make me feel like I'm wearing my own skin and not baggy clothing. Kind of like leggings I guess, just something comfortable that goes with everything.
