Style chameleon Kylie Minogue will let young British women imitate her latest incarnation this summer when she designs and fronts a beachwear line for high street giants H&M.

As the starring face and figure of 'H&M Loves Kylie', the pop princess will cement her status as Britain's best-dressed woman ? a plaudit lavished on her by Glamour magazine earlier this year.

"When we think of Australia and glamour, we think Kylie, who is such a stylish person," H&M design head Margareta van den Bosch observed.

Although a selection of her most exuberant stage outfits is currently wowing visitors to the V&A Museum in London, Kylie hopes her fresh summer collection will be genuinely wearable, keeping young fashionistas carefree.

"To me it is all about summer indulgence, effortless chic and lots of fun," Kylie said of the range, which goes on sale in mid-May.

The star's commitment to good causes means one-tenth of the proceeds will go to WaterAid, a charity dedicated to bringing clean water to the world's most deprived regions.
