Lanvin Studded Applique Top

When I first spotted the Lanvin Studded Applique Top, I thought the bird on the front was a phoenix. The phoenix is a bird most commonly known for its appearance in Greek mythology. It is that beautiful bird that builds a nest and ignites itself into flames. From the ashes emerges a new phoenix, implying that this creature is immortal. Pretty cool! But sadly, the description for this top says that the bird is an eagle. And upon closer inspection, apparently it is an eagle wearing a crown. This isn't the first Lanvin piece featuring an eagle motif though. I guess for some reason, this piece just looked a little different. Maybe it is the trailing tail feathers...

Re: Lanvin Studded Applique Top
An Eagle, really?? No, that definitely looks more like a Pheonix to me
Eagles don't have a tail like that.

Re: Lanvin Studded Applique Top
So I googled Lanvin Pheonix and found one on hirshleifers.

Oddly I think this one looks more like an eagle or a hawk.
It's also about $400 less.
