Default I've got pelvic joint dysfunction

Hi everyone, I went to my maternity check up yesterday and apparently my baby is lying a bit low and partly because of me being active all the time looking after another little one and partly because I have pelvic joint dysfunction... On my years studying as a nurse I've never heard of this but apparently its nothing to worry about... it's common for pregnant women who have children too close together as their/my body hasn't recovered yet and our pelvic muslcles are nice and relaxed because of hormones...

anyway, anyone else had this and any advice on management? I might go to the physio to get some sort of management as I can't really avoid carrying a child as my son isn't walking yet...

Oh, Juicy, I'm sorry to hear that. Is it causing you any pain? I suppose it's hard that you still have to carry your DS. I had to still carry my son on and off when I was pregnant even though he was about 1/4 of my weight and my lower back used to ache a lot because of this.

    Definitely get some physio help.

Have you checked out this parenting forum as other mums to be may share the same complaint:

thanks arianne I'll check it out... yea its quite painful in the buttocks, groin area and thighs, especially when rolling in bed or trying to get out or when I have to carry my son off the floor... i don't care about the pain, my bub's welfare is still my concern but they assured me its nothing to worry about, so I really don't want to stress about it.... it's hard to be pregnant and still look after another baby....

^^OMG, tell me about it! I'm in a mothers group with first time mums listening to their angst and worries. I told them now that I have two, I've realised that taking care of a baby was nothing.

But definitely check out that site cause I think you'll get a lot of support from other mums there. And of course from me!
