Fish isn't difficult to make, but not everyone likes fish. I like Jennifer's idea.

Really? lol. I can never cook fish, or meat correctly. I rarely cook it, but when I do I'm always afraid of undercooking so I bake or fry just 2 minutes too long

You could always start with a platter of cheeses, grapes, and crackers, dips, fresh baked bread is always a good thing. What types of food do you and your family like? That would really help.

You can't really under-cook fish. You can definitely over-cook it though. You want the fish to be cooked to "medium", not "well done".

Yea I know. It's just not easy for me to cook any types of meats, just cause I never do it. I don't really like the taste of it. When it comes to meats I generally prefer uncooked, like sushi, tartare, ect.. unless it's already in the dish. But I'm not the only one here at mi casa- Dan and I just have really different tastes in food. If he had his way, he would probably eat steak or fish every night. Me, probably pasta or a salad. It's kinda the reason why we go out to dinner almost every night or use Post Mates- not sure if you guys have that in your area. Basically it's a company of drivers and bicyclists who do pick-ups for restaurants, grocery stores, department stores, etc. But really, I'm almost 30, I should no how to cook fish and meats by now.

@Lucy_Zipped did you ever decide what to make?

i recommended this : " Potato Kielbasa Skillet Recipe "

    Ingredients
    1 pound red potatoes, cubed
    3 tablespoons water
3/4 pound Johnsonville® Polish Kielbasa Sausage or Polish sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    2 tablespoons brown sugar
    2 tablespoons cider vinegar
    1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    4 cups fresh baby spinach
5 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

    Directions

Place potatoes and water in a microwave-safe dish. Cover and microwave on high for 4 minutes or until tender; drain.
In a large skillet, saute kielbasa and onion in oil until onion is tender. Add potatoes; saute 3-5 minutes longer or until kielbasa and potatoes are lightly browned.
Combine the brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, thyme and pepper; stir into skillet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 2-3 minutes or until heated through. Add spinach and bacon; cook and stir until spinach is wilted. Yield: 4 servings.
