Default Re: RAW by Aster Detoxifying Cleanses - Five-Day Catwalk Cleanse

Thank you It was definitely difficult the first couple of days - lots of cravings! It did take a while experimenting with different recipes to find ones I like. Also it's kinda hard to go to dinner parties and events when you're raw/juicing! After this is all done and over with my plan is to do Raw on Mondays & Tuesdays, then the rest of the week will be whatever.

FYI: This is not a completely raw cleanse! The Beauty Bar contains sugar-free dark chocolate, coco-butter, milk, coconut, natural favor, red A, and bunch of other stuff.

Just finished up on day 2 of the Raw by Aster Cleanse!

First thing I did this morning was chug a glass of lemon water, popped the Action (blend of vitamins like A, B6, B12, Milk Thistle, etc) and Revive (contains Triphala) capsules plus my other daily vitamins – even though they said it was not needed. In the Catwalk Cleanse guidelines it says that the “Sleek contains many vitamins and other nutrients to help meet your daily requirements” – according to the “Sleek” powder bottle, it contains calcium 4%, iron 33% and a bunch of other vitamins but no mention of calcium, D’s, folic, etc. I take my vitamins religiously, so I’m going to continue against their recommendation. See individual bottle nutrients pictured at the bottom of this post.

    Breakfast time!
Even though I thought the Berry Basic Shake was really good I decided to mix things up this morning and go with the Peaches and Cream Smoothie. I used unsweetened coconut milk, couple handfuls of peaches, 1 tsp of ginger, pinch of cinnamon, 1/2 serving scoop of RAW Fiber by Garden of Life and 2 scoops of vanilla Sleek powder. Blended then served. It was so filling! The taste was okay but if I make it again this evening for dinner I’m going to toss in a banana as my fiber serving.

Mid-morning mixed 1 teaspoon of the Glamour Greens with water, shook it up then drank. As I mentioned yesterday it has sort of a diety berry aftertaste – taste like a vitaminwater. The powder mix also contains a bunch of other vegetables and fruits. (see bottom of post for nutrients)

Finally Lunch! Learning from my mistake yesterday of making the Aster Raw Blended Juice I decided to go get a salad from Whole Foods. In the box we have a couple handful of mixed greens, some cucumbers, 1 TBS of sesame seeds, 1/4 avocado and 1/2 cup of black beans. No dressing! I never put dressing on my salads so to me it tasted just fine. But if you need something to coat those leaves, then you can replace the 1/4 avocado for a light drizzle of olive oil. Tummy is full and happy!

If you told me that I would be eating a chocolate coconut patty during this “Five Day Catwalk Cleanse” I probably wouldn’t have believed you. Oh yea, that is what I ate for my Mid-Afternoon snack. I haven’t eaten chocolate in years. I can probably count how many pieces of chocolate that I’ve eaten in the past 10 years on all of my fingers. I’m just not really into it. But I do love me some coconut!

I'm on day 2 of the cleanse! Day 1 was really hard. This cleanse keeps you feeling very hungry towards the end of the day. :/ By the way, I just ate the chocolate coconut candy bar and that was a surprise! lol. Chocolate, on a cleanse? I'm not complaining one bit. I love chocolate and coconut. mm. Can't wait til day 4.

I'll be following your progress along the way. Good luck.

    Day 3!

Like clockwork, woke up this Morning drank a glass of warm lemon water and took the Action (blend of vitamins like A, B6, B12, Milk Thistle, etc), Revive (contains Triphala) and my other daily vitamins. For Breakfast I made a Strawberry Smoothie. Mixing together a cup of strawberries, 1/2 a serving scoop of RAW Fiber by Garden of Life, 2 scoops of vanilla Sleek powder and 1 cup of unsweetened coconut milk. Blended together and ate.

Remember to drink lots of water and caffeine-free herbal tea throughout the day! My tea of the day is the Organic Echinacea Immune Support by Yogi.

Mid-morning mixed 1 teaspoon of the Glamour Greens with 12 ounces of water, shook it up then drank. It has a diety berry aftertaste – yesterday I said it was like a VitaminWater but now I’m thinking more like CrystalLight. Yes, definitely tastes just like a glass of CL! The powder mix also contains a bunch of other vegetables and fruits, so don’t worry you’re getting plenty of nutrients.

read about the rest of my day!

I am an on and off juicer because I spend too much time making them and it really makes me crave for real food although I really want a time off from beef and carbos. But this thread is simply motivating. I always thought of juicing but never gave a time frame,so I always think of solid foods. but as I read your posts, I come to realize that I should give it a set of days to discipline myself and before I know it, I am adding more and more days to my juicing and detoxing regimen .
