Re: How do you guys feel about ellipticals?
Okay, we checked it out yesterday and everything seemed to be in order. They are going to deliver it on Wednesday!

Re: How do you guys feel about ellipticals?
Wish I would have seen this thread before, I have an elliptical and LOVE it! Ours isn't top of the line, but has a ton of different programs and levels as well as an ipod dock, etc. I definetly would not try to run the computer portion off of batteries, as they suck the power out of them almost immediately, so make sure you have the power cord attachment! You will get a lot of use out of it! Congratulations!

Re: How do you guys feel about ellipticals?
I took an advanced weight training class and the instructor said that your not getting that great of a workout on an elliptical which makes sense. Ive seen articles online that consider them the most worthless piece of equipment in a gym. idk I like them personally. I still feel like im getting just as much of a workout as the treadmill. Plus there not nearly as loud

Re: How do you guys feel about ellipticals?
^^^ See that doesn't make sense to me because I can really feel it working my legs and butt when I'm on one.
Mamaluv - Don't worry, this one is self-powered. You start moving and the power comes on.

Re: How do you guys feel about ellipticals?
^^^ Thanks! Oh, but the delivery got pushed back til Friday. Mr BRS realized that the elliptical wasn't going to make it down the steps because there is stuff in the way. So he's got to move some things around this week.

Wish I would have gotten one that was self-powered! How do you like it, and are you getting the workout you hoped you would from it? It's been so nice here lately, I haven't been on mine like I should!

We just got it yesterday morning so I have only taken it for a "test drive" so far. I like how it feels though and I think it will probably do just fine for what I was wanting it for. It didn't come with an instruction manual, however, so I'm not sure how to work the programs on it. LOL! We'll have to see if we can track one down.

Re: How do you guys feel about ellipticals?
Wish we had room for something like that. Happy for you that you were able to get one. I used to love the cross ramp at the gym.

Re: How do you guys feel about ellipticals?
^^^ Yes, we've had it for a while now. It's pretty nice, I just wish I had more time to use it. I've been so busy with school lately.

Re: How do you guys feel about ellipticals?
BRS -- glad to hear your machine is great !!
everyone -- do try to fit in some regular excercise ---
With flu season in full force there is research that states that people who excercise on a regular basis can sometimes avoid the flu-- also if you do catch the flu and work out on a regular basis , chances are -- your flu will last shorter than a person who does not work out on a regular basis !
