I had a tooth pulled a week ago, and I didn't feel a thing.

Hi everyone! Well- I survived! Haha - I was so nervous when I went in this morning. They gave me Valium to take before I came in, and all it did was make me a little tired, and it basically wore off by the time I got in the chair. Then they gave me oxygen with some "laughing gas" and that didn't do anything either. They started my IV and within a minute I guess I was asleep, because the next thing I knew I was waking up in some other little room with my mom and bf sitting in there.

So far so good. I got sick twice, but am feeling better now. My chinand lower lip are still super numb, and the only thing that is a little sore is my bottom left side.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled last week too. I'm STILL dealing with the pain, but the swelling has gone down considerably. My problem is I don't want to stay still...I always have to be doing something. I've not been a very good patient. I tried to eat solid stuff the day after and hurt my mouth. So, here I am with a sore jaw trying to get better.

Are your cheeks swollen? For me, that was the worst part!! It was so embarrassing...

It's not that bad, but still. I'm starting to get a little bruising, too

texlatina, my jaw is sore too! it's so annoying! all i've been eating is mashed potatoes (super creamy, ready made from our awesome grocery store) and plain hummus. i can't wait to eat real food. my bf and i went to arby's so he could get some lunch... it was torture watching him eat the fries!

Ok so almost a week later and where they pulled the one tooth, there's this gross hole. I really hope the ones that they stitched don't get like that. I hate to eat anything because I'm afraid I'm going to get stuff stuck in there... it's gross!

OMG... I GOT A RASH! From the stupid amoxicillin! I stopped taking it on Tuesday, but I woke up with this stupid rash all over my body! My face is red around my nose, and these little tiny red marks all over. Apparently it's called amoxicillin rash, and it'll go away in a week. I can't do anything about it except take Claritin in the morning and Benadryl at night, to alleviate some of the symptons. So annoying!

Soooo sorrry Strlett -- I had that HAPPEN to me in Februrary ---- EXCEPT I was allergic to the Z PACK -- I hope you get better sooon from your lovely dental experience and from the antibiotic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a nice thread to read. I have to get mine out after 15 years of pain. They told me when I was in high school to get mine out but I was too chicken. Now I'm 32 and they have killed me forever! Now I am going to get them taken care of thank gosh! I am going in next week to get two fillings replaced and then they are going to schedule the it. I am more worried about taking pain killers after. They usually make me sick and I don't like how they make me feel.

Aw you'll be ok!

I didn't take the painkillers. You really don't need to. I just took Motrin and Amoxicillin. I didn't even touch the pain killers they gave me.

I read through your wisdom tooth saga, tomorrow I go in for my referral for the Oral Surgeon. I'm super nervous. When I had them looked at a few years back they said it wasn't going to be easy, one is coming in sideways (facing my cheek) and the others all all growing in different directions. I'm finally sick of headaches and tooth pain, not to mention they're starting to crowd my other teeth. I hope mine goes as well as yours lilstrlett.

Good Luck Bellalola. I had mine removed because of blinding headaches. believe me the relief you will get is worth the passing pains...
