Healthy Pizza Recipe
Ok, this pizza is soooo good that I just had to share!
I got the idea from this pizza recipe by Paula Deen: Apple and Grilled Chicken Pizza
I made some minor changes to it though.
What you need:
Pizza crust (I used Boboli pizza crust, 12 in)
One chicken breast
One green apple
Shredded cheddar cheese
Prego spaghetti sauce
Directions:
1. Grill the chicken until cooked all the way. Cut into small pieces (how large you went them is up to you, I cut mine pretty small).
2. Slice the apples as thin as you can.
3. Spread the spaghetti sauce on the pizza crust. Add the cheese, chicken, and apple slices. Add as much as you want. I didn't use all of the apple slices, but I did use all of the chicken and a lot of cheese.
4. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
5. When heated, put the pizza in the oven and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted as you like.
I was a little unsure of how this pizza would turn out. I never thought apples and chicken would make a good pizza, but this pizza is absolutely delicious! It almost has a hawaiian pizza taste to it. It takes about 20 minutes to make and is very easy. I sliced the apples and preheated the oven while I was cooking the chicken.

Re: Healthy Pizza Recipe
I never thought of putting hummus on a pizza. Would you replace that with the marinara sauce?
Mmm, now I'm thinking of Hummus Pizza. Although I don't think that this recipe would be appropriately categorized under "Healthy Pizza Recipes"
-foodiewithfamily1Ingredients:
1 (12-16″) pre-baked pizza crust
1-1/2 cups prepared hummus
1/4-1/3 cup roasted red peppers, sliced into thin strips
1/2-3/4 of an English cucumber, sliced as thinly as possible
1/2 of a red onion, sliced as thinly as possible
1/2 cup black olives, thinly sliced or halved
1/2 cup feta cheese crumbles
1/4 cup fresh parsley, minced

Re: Healthy Pizza Recipe
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Ready in: 35 minutes
Yield: 6
Ease of Prep: Easy
Recipe Ingredients
1 pound prepared whole-wheat pizza dough , thawed if frozen
1 cup canned unseasoned pumpkin puree
1/2 cup canned no-salt tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 ounces turkey pepperoni (1/2 cup)
Recipe Directions
1. Place oven rack in the lowest position; preheat to 450°F. Coat a large baking sheet with cooking spray.
2. Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to the size of the baking sheet. Transfer to the baking sheet. Bake until puffed and lightly crisped on the bottom, 8 to 10 minutes.
3. Whisk pumpkin puree, tomato sauce and garlic powder in a small bowl until combined.
4. Spread sauce evenly over the baked crust. Top with mozzarella, Parmesan and pepperoni. Bake until the crust is crispy on the edges and the cheeses have melted, about 12 minutes.
Use leftover tomato sauce and pumpkin to make a second batch of pizza sauce. Refrigerate for up to 5 days or freeze for 3 months.

Well I didn't have a healthy slice of pizza for lunch, Hawaiian (minus the ham). Well I guess pineapple is loaded in Vitamin C, so....
