LOL! I used to do the same thing!
The water from our fridge is filtered tap water and we use that to fill our stainless water bottles. We do buy bottled water that is purified by reverse osmosis, I looked and it is enhanced with minerals so I hope that is good.

Re: Bottled Water
I can taste the dirt in my water here. I have a filter I got for Christmas last year (people give me strange gifts ) and I love it.

You should never drink distilled water on a regular basis, only if you're detoxing because it makes you lose essential minerals.

Yes, I read that somewhere. Hmmm... perhaps that's why Zombs was told to drink it. You know, detox her body. But yeah, from what I read pure water is highly reactive and it will absorb the minerals in your body and then you end up peeing them out.

Re: Bottled Water
what an interesting thread!
I have been using nalgene bottles for quite some time but there is some research regarding cancer resulting from their use. I love the new aluminum bottles - they are great and even keep your water cold. Anyone use one or know research about theM?

Re: Bottled Water
I am kind of scared of Aluminum so we use Stainless water bottles although SIGG aluminum water bottles are supposed to be pretty safe and they have really cute bottles!!
SIGG eco bottles: SIGG USA - Eco-Friendly, Reusable Swiss Water Bottles!
Here is an article on the dangers of aluminum:

Re: Bottled Water
Yeah, stainless steel all the way. I know a lot of people that have them and they seem to love them. I haven't gotten one yet, but I've been looking at them.

Re: Bottled Water
My favorite are Klean Kanteens. They don't have that nasty musty smell when you first buy it and the water stays fresh!!! i definitely recommend them!!
Klean Kanteen Official Site: the original eco-friendly, bpa-free, reusable stainless steel water bottle
I believe they are cheaper than SIGG to and my sister has a SIGG and said it has a funny smell to it.
FROM THEIR WEBSITE:
Just like every Klean Kanteen™, the 40oz Classic bottle is made from recyclable, 18/8, food-grade stainless steel that's 100% BPA- and toxin-free. Klean Kanteen™ bottles don't need to be lined like some other metal bottles and don't retain or leach flavors either. So your drinks stay fresh and clean tasting far longer than in a bottle made from aluminum or low-quality stainless.
