*Hi ladies..

I've always searched about a huge & pretty bag, and this year actually I found DvF Stephanie Bag it's my dream bag but right now it's a littel expensive for me the price is 875$ (I'm trying to save money to get it later on)

And now I want a big one but cheaper than the DvF so I found The Nala Tote by GUESS, it's very very cheap just 98$ but I love it, it's a big pretty bag as I want , but it is made of synthetic leather :sCo_idk3:

Anyway, I just wanna take your opinion about GUESS handbags?

and your opinion especially about this bag!!

Thanks in advance :flower:*

Hi
Do you have a handbag with s story attached to it? A bag that has some sort of special history attached to it? I am working on a research project as part of my Doctorate studies and I would love to hear from anyone?
Thanks

Great Gift Ideas: Wallets for Him

It's that time of year again! The leaves have fallen and the weather is turning colder. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Christmas will be here before we know it! Oh my, where has the year gone? It seems like just yesterday that I was having to remember to write 09, instead of 08, when writing the date on my checks.

With the days passing by so quickly, it may be a good idea to start thinking of potential Christmas gifts for that special someone. Nothing, in my opinion, is worse than waiting until the last minute. So what do you think ladies? Would your significant other enjoy a new wallet this year? Personally, I think my husband could use a new one. Of course, he would probably disagree with that. Something can be completely worn out and he will still refuse to get rid of it. But don't worry ladies, I can be very persuasive when I need to be. Hehe... I'll simply throw it out myself when he's not looking! Okay, okay, maybe I won't.

But in the mean time, I would like to share with you some of my top wallet picks. And don't worry, I tried to include a little something for everyone.

Happy shopping!

PLEASE HELP! WANT TO START A USED LUXURY GOODS STORE

now i've had this idea for some time now, it sound like such a nice dream!
:par6:

there are NO luxury used goods stores in Sydney that i know of, and i mean, we're not a SMALL place, we have all the usual luxury botiques and everything, and i've always been someone who thinks "gee i wish i could buy luxury goods cheaper, or gee i have some stuff that i regret buying and im out of money for groceries!" haha and last time i was in Hong Kong, they had a 2nd hand store in every suburb!

What i would like help with is, whether anyone is already in the BUSINESS, or they know how it works, because when it comes to operating a business, i am pretty stupid. haha

heres what's holding me back right now:
1. Im not a professional on authenicating the luxury bags, althrough i've read all your threads on how to differenitate between a fake and real chanel/lv/gucci, im just not confident. could the internet give me all the answers to authenicating luxury handbags!?

2. The MONEY. haha i mean, i'd need heaps of money to start with right!? i would have to PURCHASE all the 2nd handbags firstly before i start up a shop.
I do know a friend who would invest in me, but only when im confident will i approach them.

3. How much money do i buy the bags off the people for? Say the original price of the LV bag is $2000, should i buy it for no more that $500 to gain a profit of $500 when i sell it out for $1000!?

4. What if people try to scam me!? there are nasty people out there. :(

ANY THOUGHTS BAG EXPERTS?!
i treat this forum as a bible with all the answers haha

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE IN ADVANCE FOR ALL THE ADVICE! :)

Foley + Corinna City Tote vs Un Apres-Midi de Chien Post Q Tote

Image: http://www.thebagforum.com/upload/5516dcb1d779a9d2427eb4e38ace821c.png
Who doesn’t love options? I was approached by a sales associate at my local Saks outlet and was asked if I had seen their latest arrival, the two-in-one handbag (she must have barely spotted them). I was familiar with the style since a couple of tBFers proudly own the famous City Tote by Foley + Corinna, but I hadn’t experienced what a great style it was in person.

Our friends at ShopBop and their wonderful sales have both the City Tote by Foley + Corinna and the Post Q Tote by Un Apres-Midi de Chien marked down in the sales section (only selected colors on the City Tote).

This is just one of the many examples of designer inspirations and competition. Foley + Corinna with its original design features a zipper up front when expanded and nice pebbled leather, while Apres-Midi’s version consists of bubbly nylon and faux patent leather trim. From pure description it’s quick to note that one style definitely differs in price wise than the other. Both feature double rolled handles, multiple pockets and the handy detachable shoulder straps. Since I’m not the greatest fan of nylon handbags, my vote goes to the original City Tote. Which is your pick?

Regardless, don’t deny the great sales going on right now over at: *Shopbop (http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-1882246-10456099)*

Both feature double rolled handles, multiple pockets and the handy detachable shoulder straps. Since I’m not the greatest fan of nylon handbags, my vote goes to the original City Tote. Which is your pick?

Regardless, don’t deny the great sales going on right now over at: Shopbop

Tips on how to care for Patent Leather

I love patent leather handbags. In fact, I would say I'm pretty much obsessed with patent leather. Something about patent leather is just so edgy, but yet sexy to me. Regular leather can be so boring sometimes, and I see patent leather as the "more" fun version of leather.

What really catches my eye about patent leather is the shininess of it. I always thought regular leather can be so dull looking, then you have patent leather that has that shiny sparkle to it.

I currently have two patent leather handbags, that I take very good care of. I will admit though, patent leather is really high maintenance.

The best way to take care of a patent leather handbag, is to simply not use them as everyday bag. I say this for two reasons: Patent Leather loses it shine after a while when used everyday and it also scratches very easily. One little scratch on the leather and it's there forever. If you aren't the type of person that is extra careful with your handbags, then it's probably not in your best interest to get a patent leather handbag.

On the other hand, patent leather is very easy to clean. If you ever spill soda, or get food on the bag you can easily clean it! Soda or food would normally stain a canvas or light leather handbag. With patent leather, you can easily clean the leather with a wash cloth, water, and some soap.

Patent leather has it's pro's and con's, but it looks amazing on a handbag. If you don't have a patent leather handbag I suggest buying one and I promise you'll never regret it!

My Current Wishlist

Image: http://www.bagbliss.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/designer-handbag-list.jpg
Every handbag lover out there has a wish list that seems to be updated every week. No matter how many times we may tell ourselves we don't need anymore purses our heart always says otherwise.

For me, every time I walk into Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors or Nordstrom I find myself adding more handbags to my wish list! It almost seems like handbags are my drug that I just can't give up.

At the moment, I have five handbags on my wish list. I absolutely love the: Louis Vuitton "*Damier* (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574637966&toolid=10001&campid=5335833103&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.com%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm38%26_nkw%3Dspeedy%2Bdamier%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories)" Speedy 30; MICHAEL Michael Kors "*Uptown Astor (http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-1882246-10273706?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.zappos.com%2Fn%2Fredirect.cgi%3Fq%3Dvz357394587z2%26zcj%3D1&cjsku=76086003)*" Satchel in black; and the Alexander McQueen "*Faithful Glove* (http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-1882246-10273706?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.zappos.com%2Fn%2Fredirect.cgi%3Fq%3Dvz356457213z2%26zcj%3D1&cjsku=7578624585)" Clutch in Black. The other two bags I want are still up in the air. I really want a new black patent leather bag, and a new Louis Vuitton Monogram bag to add to my collection.

My favorite bag out of the five on my wish list would have to be a toss up between the "Uptown Astor" Satchel and the "Faithful Glove" Clutch.

I love how the gold hardware looks so beautiful on the black leather of the "Astor" bag. Then I also really like how edgy the "Faithful Glove" Clutch looks. If you like the whole rocker chick look as much as I do, then you just may want to add it to your wish list too!

Out of all the bags I want, I see myself buying the "Damier" Speedy or "Uptown Astor" Satchel first. Both bags are reasonably priced from $398-$690, and are versatile because they can go with so many different outfits! I hope to get all the bags on my wish list, but first I need to stop buying shoes before that can ever happen!

My question to all you bagista's out there is, "What handbags are on your wish list?"

:mx53::mx53:Today there are too many different styles of UGG boots to choose from. However, there are only that ones are proving extremely popular and which if you not careful will soon be sold out. Below we look at some styles of UGG boots which are proving to be popular this winter and which are this seasons must haves for fashion conscious women around the globe.
UGG Classic Tall
This particular boot is not only functional but is also extremely warm and comfortable as well. It is the high quality double face sheepskin uppers which helps them to keep your feet warm even when you wear them without socks. The great thing about these boots as with all those in the UGG range is that they can be worn with anything from jeans to skirts or dresses. Although the colors are limited they still make a wonderful item of footwear for any woman to have in her wardrobe.
UGG Classic Cardy
This range of boots was released in the spring of this year and just like the above mentioned UGG boots have proven popular as well. Just like the Classic Crochet range these boots come in a wide variety of colors including Dusty Rose and Indigo along with Black and Grey Oatmeal. What makes these boots so distinctive from other boots in the UGG range is the 3 large wooden buttons that enable you to really great some different looks and styles with them.
UGG Classic Crochet Tall
These boots nearly a year after Oprah Winfrey put them on her favorite things list in 2007 are still proving popular with women around the globe. But it isn’t just the fact that Oprah likes them but other celebrities including Nicole Richie. Because of the knitted exterior these boots are proving more versatile than other Types of UGG in that you can wear them tall or slouched. Just as with the UGG Classic Tall these boots look great with just about anything you may have in your wardrobe currently.
UGG makes good on its promise of complete comfort and total luxury, but luckily, it is luxury that anyone can afford. Certainly when it comes to UGG boots it seems that comfortable and functionality is proving more popular these days. So you will to get a pair of the fashionable UGG boots if you don’t want behind the team.
