I just sold my first item on ebay and the buyer wants it by Saturday. I'm not too familiar with prices and shipping calculations with USPS. I'm shipping this dress:



Does anyone have any idea on what the shipping costs should be? Should I use the Priority Mail Flat Rate Large Box? Thanks for your help!

I think it depends on where you're shipping it to. Priority Mail isn't actually guaranteed, it's only an estimated 2-3 days. If you want it to be guaranteed and you are using USPS you have to use Express. Otherwise, FedEx is also a good bet. You can calculate shipping using zip codes on FedEx, UPS, and USPS's websites, I believe. Well, not sure about USPS but you can always take it to your local post office and ask them.

I also forgot to mention, just because the buyer wants it by Saturday doesn't mean you are obligated to get it to them by Saturday, unless that was stipulated in your auction. The only drawback is they might give you neutral or negative feedback for not "shipping quick enough".

I would ship it in a box where it's not going to be squished, make sure it's water proof too!

I would use USPS express if you want to go with USPS. When I ship things out, I use UPS. Since the item is light, it won't be too expensive!
