Default Should I Risk Feedback Selling Vintage Gucci?

I was selling an authentic Gucci suitcase which I *thought* was in mint condition. It was one of those "too nice to use" situations, so it sat for 20 years. It's a large duffle bag style, all leather, with green and red strapping. Okay, I listed it as mint and the bidding was ferocious, it rose to $250 in seconds with people offering to buy it on the side, etc. I get an email from this guy who says,

"Are you sure it's 'mint', check the piping in the corners?"

Sure enough, all the corners had SPLIT!!! Gucci villains!!! What would you do??? Would you over-use punctuation marks like I do??? THANKS!

Naturally, I would tell buyers about the split. But should I repair them? Or is that making it worse? Should I just eat the bag?

Just add to the listing that you noticed some cracking in the piping and add detailed photos of the corners. Also offer to send more photos to potential buyers.
For something like this you need to go out of your way as a seller. Just be honest with everyone and I do not think you will have any problems.

You can end the auction and relist it. The person who has the current highest bid won't be able to leave you feedback because they technically will not win if the auction is ended by you.

agree with everyone else. next time just take extra images. also if i were a seller, i would never use the word "mint" unless it was fresh from the store <- that's usually the image people get. so if they get the bag or are the top bidder and see splitting, they wont be very happy.

^^^ Yep, do what I said to do and then I agree with everyone else. Relist the auction with better pictures and an indepth description.
