eBay Fraudster Sentenced

Federal prosecutors say a woman from Williamstown ran a designer handbag scam on eBay that netted over $100,000.

28-year-old Jenny Donahue, also known as Jenny Bryant, used over a dozen names and e-mail addresses to sell phony couture handbags on eBay to over 250 people.

She pleaded guilty to fraud charges and was sentenced to five years probation, 100 hours of community service and restitution.

I am happy to see them cracking down on some of these people but Probation and community service?? I hope that the restitution is to the innocent buyers...

yeah! go ebay! I'm so glad that this had taken place. there are som many scammer out there. The real product has no chance to sell for a decent price.
