Consignment with Fashionphile

Anyone have experience with them? I am thinking of sending them a few bags to sell. They charge 25% of final price, I know thats a lot, but they get a lot of traffic and I think things sell faster with them.

Input greatly appreciated.

Ever think of putting your bags on sale in the marketplace here? You could save the 25% commission and give your bags a new home !!

I do have a couple of bags listed here, but no takers. I have also tried on ebay but as my feedback is not high (only 31 at 100%) seems like people are not interested. I was thinking since fashionphile has over 4,000 feedback that my bags might sell better?

i would definitely try it out on the marketplace here! i know it sucks to not have a lot of feedback, but at least youre at 100%... guarantee authenticity (which most ppl do)... and you'll find a taker soon enough! i'm still trying to get 100 posts so i can at least LOOK at the marketplace here LOL!

How do you present the bags when you design your ad on ebay? Do you use the basic setup that ebay provides or do you use html?
What I have done in the past is take REALLY good pictures of every detail of the bag. I have a camera with a macro setting that allows the camera to focus on objects that are just a few inches away... man can I ever take a picture of the YKK on a zipper pull! LOL! Then I would put the pictures on a photobucket account and use html to design an ad with the pictures in it. Hehe... don't have to pay ebay for having all those pics and potential buyers can get a really good look at the item for sale.
I've also found that being honest about things helps... but don't give out too much info about your personal life. I see so many ads where people are saying that they have to sell their items because so and so is sick in the hospital... or whatever. Although it might be true... it might also scare buyers away because they think you're trying to play on their sympathy. I'm not saying that I think you have ever done something like that... but I just thought I should mention it because its good advice in general.

I agree with you on Ebay if you don't have a high # of feedback most people will not buy from you.

Yeah me too. As a buyer, I shy away from new sellers on eBay, especially the ones with -0- FB it is just a bit scary. I've bought stuff from sellers with low but 100% FBs and have been happy. So, you never know. But if you are going to use a Trading Assistant, Fashionphile is a reputable seller and when I see their listings I know its real.

Look on ebay. You find almost everything there. :)
