I know over at TPF there are strict rules against posting your ebay ID, or linking to your auctions or stores, just curious about what the rules are here. I noticed on a post someone suggested selling items here, and was wondering what, if any, rules TBF has about members posting items they want to sell, or linking to their ebay auction or store. Just want to play by the rules! Thanks in advance!

Thank you for asking beforehand. No, posting links to your own ebay auctions for the purpose of promoting your item is not allowed. We don't allow selling of any kind outside our marketplace, which is a private section for approved members. There's a thread about it in the Announcement section, I believe.

Oh okay, the marketplace must have been what that post was referring to., when one poster suggested to another she should sell a bag here. I assumed it wouldn't be allowed here, but when I saw that I thought hmm...maybe. I'm off to check out that thread, thank you!

It is for both. Once a member you can buy, sell, and trade in there.

^^^ I don't think there's anyone in the MP that is from the UK.
What's in there is just stuff from TBF members.

The marketplace at the tPF is really tough to get into. Is this one not so elite?

^^^ I don't think it is. We are careful about letting just anyone in though since we don't want anyone to get scammed. So that's why the minimum requirements for posts and length of membership were changed.

lc, it's not that easy to get into our marketplace

The Min 500 posts + active for 5 months is just the base requirement... you still have to unanimously approved by the mod team

a private section for the marketplace is a good idea..i like it
