This person also took the same pictures at different angles. Nothing close up of the hardware, nothing of a date code or serial number, nothing close up on the leather.
Don't buy it.

Or ask seller if you can see better pictures in order to be able to better judge the item.
If it's a real one, I'm sure you'll get them ..

Re: Thinking about buying my first pre-owned bag off of ebay.
I also agree that checking on its authenticity is important. Ask the seller questions e.g. where it's from, any original purchase receipts available, etc. Unfortunately, the fakes don't always look so fake anymore. I wish I was a Dior expert =(.
I generally look at:
what else they have sold?
feedback from other buyers?
response to my emails
return policy
picture details/ quality
individual versus experienced consignment rep? willing to speak on phone?
price they are charging for item?
if this particular item was up for auction before and closed without a winner
comparing bag with pics of an authentic bag
pic of what a fake of this kind looks like (to see if similar)
(I never done this yet) but maybe Paypal would be willing to tell you whether or not anyone's ever filed a claim against this Seller (that is if the Seller's in their Paypal database)
every case is different but the above is what I generally look for.
Good luck.

I didn't do it. Seller just ignored my request for better pics. It ended up selling for $351. *cry* if it was authenticate

I think it was a good choice for you not to get it. It didn't seem authentic to me and I wouldn't want you to pay that much for something that wasn't authentic

Don't be sad. Feel good about that now you can put that money toward a bag you *know* is authentic.

Re: Thinking about buying my first pre-owned bag off of ebay.
I am also thinking about buying a Dior on Ebay. I can't post a link as this forum won't initially let me but it is a limited edition doctor's bag with a sale ticket from Neiman Marcus.
How can I validate?

Hey iamwright - go over to the Dior section and post in the "Authentication" thread. Someone will be glad to help you

Re: Thinking about buying my first pre-owned bag off of ebay.
With that response....no way would I purchase it! I have a LV multi on ebay right now....I take tons of pictures and if anyone wants extra....definantly! A pre-owned should have some flaws....discolor of handles, etc.....a honest seller should list every little thing!
