Dooney is okay. I only have a few things from the line; the durability is all right. Back when it wasn't teen oriented, I would've said that Dooney was in the same league of Coach...now they're probably just a smidgen above Guess bags and LeSportsac because they're so trendy.

All in all, the quality is reasonable for what you pay for, but if you want superb...you're better off saving up for a premier designer.

I don't like most of their pattern designs. I liked the old all-weather leather things from way back when. I've got one of those. Though recently, I saw some new patent bags in solid black, red, or white which seemed interesting. Wouldn't have guessed D&B without the metal nameplate.

I used to think D&B is equal with Coach too although I never find anything I like. But now that I see them sold at discount stores and regular dept stores I think of them as equal to Guess?

^^^ I still feel the quality is better than, say, Guess. After all, Guess doesn't even use leather for their stuff. It's all PVC. But Dooney sure has been making some ugly stuff lately!

I think that I just got over Dooney! As a matter of fact I just came from the UPS store from mailing my signature anniversary Dooney Hobo to my mother. You see my DH just got me a Louis Vuitton Monogram Speedy a couple of weeks ago, I am really feeling LV now, I think this will turn into an addiction. I don't think I will go back to Dooney again!!!

i have a bunch of dooneys stashed in the back of my purse closet...somewhere...

i used to wear them years ago when i was younger, when they first got really popular and i was in high school. the only bags that i have now that i would consider wearing are the all weather leather and the nile. my nile is beautiful and i adore it. i have 2 all weather leathers and they are both white and both too small. i never wear my nile anymore, but i could never sell it because i love it so much.

IMO, like coach, dooney is not classic. in 20 years if you are wearing a dooney bag you got in 2008 it is not going to be any where near in style. but, if you are wearing an LV, it will still be fabulous!

If you are going for the "fun and sporty" look some of their styles are OK. Otherwise I prefer the more grown-up look.

My favorite print from D&B are the signature and Dooney stars.. Others are not my type. :)
