What color is "Bordeaux" supposed to be?
I am a D&B newbie. Have an East West Collins that I love and just got a pebble grain Charleston off ILD. Question - I ordered the Bordeaux, which on the website (and other sites) looks like a dark red. I was rather surprised when it arrived and it's actually an eggplant purple. Is this normal for all D&B Bordeaux, or just for the pebble grain? I'm on the fence about the color, it's nice but not as expected and I'm not sure how versatile it is. Thanks for any info as I was also eyeing a Croco Charlotte in Bordeaux.

I haven't paid too much recently, but DB's bordeaux used to be a dark reddish brown color.
When you say eggplant, I think dark purple with a tough of red in it.
