Whether you’re a fan of the All-American brand Coach, or not, you can’t deny your curiosity towards seeing their latest designs each season. I always look forward to seeing their nice (and not-so-nice) pieces. For the past couple of years, I’ve seen drastic changes done to their brand, basically it seems like most of their goods are less classic in design followed by outrageously expensive price tags. Take a look at one of the many newbie’s by Coach; the Legacy Pieced Leather Flap Hobo is its name. I’ve never been crazy over the brands infamous patchwork bags, and this hobo leaves no exceptions. I’m bothered by the collaboration of suede, leather, haircalf, nubuck, and soft-pebbled leather patches, it just doesn’t appeal to my likings. The only details found on this piece that I’m fond of would be the hobo’s design and that nice shoulder strap, other than that, this bag is way to medieval-themed for my taste. Stiff, heavy, and trendy is what I imagine this Coach bag to be and the outrageously overpriced MSRP of $1,200 is enough to make me turn away with no doubts. A classic leather Coach bag sporting a rich hue is a yes in my book… while this bag is definitely a nay!
For 1200 no way. I agree coach has changed a lot over the last couple years.. Some of their new bags are okay (in the legacy line) but I wouldn't spend that much on one of their bags (that's like the same price as a b bag!)
DECEMBER - Azur Speedy 25 / Saleya PM + LV Vernis cles (Rose Pop) and...for the next year or so... Saving up for an Hermes Picotin PM or MM in Togo Orange/ BJ Clemence
Hmmh, that's an interesting bag! This is what I don't get, though. Bags are posted here everyday that are totally overpriced and rarely anyone but me says so. Why is this one getting the "overpriced" label from everyone? It's a good looking bag, made with good-quality leather, better looking and probably better put together than $2000-$4000 bags that look like curtains or ducks, even canvas totes or tiny clutches that look like they are a dime a dozen. Don't get me wrong. I'm not a Coach fan, though I do like some of the newer bags. Why is a Bal worth the $1,200 and not this bag? I love several of the Balenciaga bags--the beautiful colors and distressed leather--but does it come down to just the name?

Well if it makes you feel better, I don't like Balenciaga bags at all( and I'm probably the only one, too). So I think they are way overpriced.
(Oh, I am SO going to be hated for that one! :fear:)

I understand you, but there is one thing i think it makes why the bbag is worth the money.
it's made in italy and coach is made in china.
to be honest, if LV is made in china, will you think it worth the price?
I dont think the coach factory will pays equally to chinese worker compare to balenciaga.
I personally think the value of the bag is not only what you see, but also the spirit and art work and many things that complete it.
