I dont think the coach factory will pays equally to chinese worker compare to balenciaga.
I personally think the value of the bag is not only what you see, but also the spirit and art work and many things that complete it.

That's a very good point; manufacturing costs can vary greatly from one country to another. I agree with you on that 100%. I also think that once a brand's has reached that "it" status, we pay increasingly more for that status. Some people are more attracted to that than others. For me, the design (how appealing or unappealing I find it), quality of the materials--leather, lining, hardware--and the construction (perfect shape, stitching, etc., no irregularities) is what attracts me to a bag. Sometimes I can afford that, sometimes I can't--depending on the brand.
