COACH outlet bag numbers

Does anyone know if the coach bags from the coach outlet stores have different serial numbers.

I am buying a black optic diaper bag off craigslist and the number is 06429 instead of 6429

I know they sell this bag at the outlets...they were out when i went, but i never looked at the numbers on the bags there.

any help is appreciated.

Hmm... usually the number is the same except it has an "F" or an "FS" before the number. I'm not sure about an extra 0.

The outliet bags ususally have one or more of three markings (that I know off): "N" "X" or a bullseye. Factory stores bags usually have an "F" in the serial number after the dash, such as XXX-F12345.

the outlet bags also has a stamp on the coach creed. it is a symbol that sort of looks like the target logo.
