Now maybe I am just not fashion-forward being that I sit at a desk all day and crunch numbers...but I noticed that Coach has a lot of swing bags out...what is up with that? The straps are so long and they look strange to me. Do any of you use these? Is that what is "in" now?

I have a swingpack now. I never liked them before, but they are extremely functional. For me, I have two kids and we are always out and about in the spring and summer. I dont like to carry a ton of stuff around with me and most of the smaller handbags are short handled. Some you can get over your shoulder, but running around with kids and holding their hands, its always falling off. The swingbags are great because you can carry what you need, throw it over your head and across your body and never have to worry about it falling off your shoulder while your chasing the kids around an amusement park...lol

When I think about it, I can see where they would be nice. I think I would be more open to it if they were more the size of a magazine so that I could throw a magazine in there or a small laptop and be off on my way. I could see using the style for a book bag, as I think it would be more comfortable than a tote for what I do (MBA grad student...not a lot of bulky books to carry around...just one class at a time.)
