Coach Kiki Hobo
Coach Kiki Hobo

Fringe. What do you think about when you hear the word "fringe"? For me, I think about my mom's suede fringe jacket from her free-lovin' adolescence. I remember borrowing it for Hippie-Day for my high school's Pep Week. It was soft, supple, and a rich chestnut brown. I wore ripped up bell-bottom jeans and I remember all of my friends spent the day drawing pictures all over them with colorful markers. Was that a rainbow on my butt?
New for Spring 2008, Coach has come out with this new fringed bag for their Soho Collection called the Kiki Hobo. The border is trimmed with a long flowing fringe, but the fringe is not as offensive as some of the fringe disasters I have seen in the fashion world (Louis Vuitton, what were you thinking when you made that Multicolor Fringed Speedy back in 2006?). Now I understand that this bag is not for everyone, but I think it has a certain hippie-chic feeling about it that gives it an interesting character. It may even be cute if paired with the right outfit. The only drawback is its expensive price tag... which is becoming quite typical of Coach these days.
The Coach Kiki Hobo features:
Inside zip pocket- Cell phone/multi-function pockets
- Ring to clip an accessory or keyfob
- Zip-top closure
- Supple leather exterior
- 8” strap drop
- Measures 14 1/2 (L) x 15 (H) x 3 1/4 (W)
Retail price? It's $598.
The Coach Kiki Hobo is now available over at Coach's Official site: Coach Official Site
Also, don't forget that Coach is available online at Macy's:Macy*s - Coach

^^^ ROFL! Well, the fringe isn't for everybody, but I think its less offensive that many other fringe bags I've seen. Fringe is a very hard thing to pull off, you know? It has to be JUST right. I do think the white bag looks better than the brown though... that is, if I was being forced to choose one.

It's alright, I wouldn't buy it though. The white is the best of the two.
