If Coach is serious about repositioning themselves into the luxury goods market, they need to realize that luxury is about the process, not the price. Buying into luxury means paying for quality materials, quality craftsmanship and a quality company that cares for their customers as well as employees of all levels.

I would much rather take that 7G over to Hermes for a completely hand-built bag that required 48+ hours of labor/love made in a special atelier. Plus, I'm sure everyone has heard of the specially folded pillow and blanket they provide you to let the baby rest when not in use. And the complimentary re-stitching of leather goods. And the lifetime guarantee of quality...

I love Coach but they raised their prices so much recently that I'd rather save my money and go with a Chanel. Of course now that Chanel has raised their prices...

it's like a never ending cycle of prices going up!

i agree that coach does have some fantastic leather bags but its just their reputation is shot.. especially with banning their beloved customers...it's defnitely not a smart business move.

This is INSANE!!
I used to be a faithful Coach customer but in the past couple of years slacked off a bit. It seemed to me that the quality (made in China) got worse and the $$ went up. Go figure?
I feel that if I am going to spend that much $ on a bag I would rather put it towards a LV or MJ.

After reading this I will now call myself a "Former Coach Customer"!
Oops, I might get "The Letter" from Coach after selling all of my Coach bags on eBay...so scared!

Those "5 Facts" about Coach listed above are inconsistent with what I've been reading about the company in the Wall Street Journal. Coach isn't going bankrupt. I don't know where these so-called "facts" came from, and there's nothing in that post to back up the claims.
