Help! My Coach is Showing Wear - Designer Handbag & Purse Chat.. The Bag Forum

The Patchwork Carly that my DH bought me is already starting to show signs of wear. I've had it less than a week and a half. The darkest patches on BOTH sides of the bag have started to fray and you can see the material underneath. What do I do? I am so upset.

You should take it to your Coach retail store. They stand behing their products 100%. They might have to send it off for an evaluation but the company will take care of you!

Oh no, that's terrible! I'd do as suggested and take it right back to the store, is it close by? When I was looking at the Holiday patch bags on Ebay I noticed that on the used ones there were areas where the animal print graphic had literally rubbed off. So now I am shying away from those.

I was diappointed to get an ink pen mark on the inside of my new Coach (tattersall lining) and I don't think there's anything that can safely get it out. Now I will only use pens with caps rather than clip pens, as a friend suggested. Live and learn.

I called Coach customer service and told them about my bag and was told to send it to them. I packed her up and sent her off on Friday. I'm hoping they will send me a new one soon. I have a banquet on Friday night and I'd really like to carry my bag.

My DH purchased the bag online. The nearest Coach store is 2 1/2 hours away. I almost drove it but I couldn't get the time off from work. And I know I would have ended up purchasing more, so maybe it's for the best.

I am not sure if you will get it back by Friday. It usually takes them about 2 weeks.
