I did the bidding comparing it to another pic I know I should had waited and done deeper research on the item but the color and the style just fitted perfectly for my everyday carrying of small notebook and a small wallet. This one kinda look like the one that help me sort decide to bid or not

Appereantly the bag was made in New York in the early 1970's according to the other one which I compare and the description of the item.Pics of the item that sort help me in comparing is from the same buyer.

This pic was theone that kinda influence my bid.

I just found out about this forum minutes later after the winning. All I know is in relation to a coach bag my mom got from my cousin who used to work in one of the stores. For me looks ok but I want an opinion before making a payment and yes you can scold me , lol.

It appears to be a very old style of Coach... when they still made them in the US. But I don't see anything that would indicate that its a fake, although I am not familiar with that style.

Hi,

What an awesome forum! I purchased this bag, yup, from e-bay. I'm hoping it's authentic. It is a lovely black leather, hobo style, shows some signs of slight wear, but is still in great shape. It has an attached embossed hang tag, no stitching around the tag. The serial number reads:J4D-9058. It has an outer pocket and one inner pocket where the creed and serial number is embossed. There is no lining. I'm attaching photos.

Also, is it proper to keep the hang tag attached during daily wear? Call me a snob, but if it's real, I'd love to show it!

I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you!

You have just made my day! While perusing this wonderful forum, I noted that the zippers should read YKK - both zippers on my bag have that as well. Could you answer one more question - can I wear the bag with the hang tag attached, or is that going overboard? I really appreciate your help!

I thought most people do wear them with the tag attached... I don't think it would be going overboard at all.

Hi to all you coach experts, please help! I recently purchased a purse and wallet off of ebay and later became aware of all the fakes; now I'm nervous about my purchases

I bought a soho signature C skinny mini wallet(40089C) and noticed that the interior lining has the word coach printed throughout. I have read that the signature items have plain lining - what's the deal here??? I typed the item number into the coach website and got the same style wallet, but it was a dif. color? Also, my new purse's serial number (E05K-8K02) will not come up in their site?? I tried to upload pictures, but they were over the allowed size limit and I don't know how to change - sorry. PLEASE HELP settle my mind.

It is really hard to tell without a photo.

As far as linings go, Coach uses several different ones. Now for the color, the site could be sold out of the color you have or it could be from another season, or possibly the Coach Factory store?

I have a close up of the wallet b/c I'm concerned about the stiching across the bottom being a dif. color, what do you think? I also included the purse tag w/ the mystery serial number!?!
