This will probably be a little late... but I have that same bag in brown... (I think mine is a little bit bigger) Anyways, since it was one of the first styles of the Signature Stipe Bag... It didn't come with the round circle metal thing on the luggage tag... and your handles were patent... so it should feel waay different than actual leather handles... they were probably lighter... So you returned it??!

Yeah, I returned it. I was going to take it to the Coach store this weekend to be authenticated, but I decided I'd just get my money back. If that was a real bag, I wasn't impressed with the quality enough to pay that much for it. My other Coach bags feel so much more substantial! I may never know for sure, but I appreciate everybody's help.  |

Is this a real Coach? Please help!!
I'm new to the world of designer handbags! My husband bought me a Coach (I hope) for my birthday. I have done some research online to authenticate it.
The only thing I can't seem to find is help with the serial number, being as how I don't even know how to start. I found this forum and am hoping to find some help.
My dustbag was white, which raised a red flag for me according to what I read.
My serial no. is
M6L-7785
It came with some brochure type papers inside, copyrighted 2004, so this may be an older version. I would appreciate any help I can get! THANKS!!

Hi Ham-Biscuit! Is their any way of posting pictures of your Coach bag?? That would help out a lot.... As for the white dustbag, that doesn't sound good....  Do post picures though. I know Coach outlets do have White SHOPPING BAGS, but I'm not sure about the dust bag...

After a little looking with a more discerning eye, I am disappointed to discover that I do indeed have a replica. My C's are backwards, and there are spelling errors on my patch inside....very subtle ones, yet errors indeed. *Sigh* Thanks for the help guys!

Hey sweetie, I can tell you that you've bought a fake without even looking at it. The serial/style number you gave belongs to a leather demi bag... there would be not C's on it.  I'm really sorry... did you purchase it from ebay? You can file a claim with Paypal and get your money back.
