I punched the style number into the Coach Drilldown page and you described the bag that showed up. Black Signature fabric tote with leather corners and straps; little slit pocket on the front between the straps. Others are more knowledgable than me, but it looks good on the surface!

Someone locally advertised a Coach tote for $40 (Coach Handbag - Authentic)
It's cute but is it a fake? I don't keep close track of the designs so I'm doing an "all-call" for you experts! If it's real, I'd love to snap it up!

I just received her reply...the # is A2J-7771. When I plugged it into the drilldown it came up with the same style bag, just not in stripes. Her husband had replied to my first email saying he suggested selling some bags because "our closet was becoming a coach/balenciaga museum".
They seem legit and the price is right. I love it, but don't really need it... I need a 12 step program for my purse addiction! My office is going to turn into the "purse room".

Hello. It's very hard to tell for sure from the photos but it looks real to me. The natural vachetta leather is oxidated and changed colors from the natural oils in the owners skin on the handles yet the other clasp piece remains relatively new looking. A good sign it's real leather. The feet should have stitching holding them in place. Good luck! UD

my sister passed it to me and claims it's real but am not too sure. i don't have the leather tag anymore, though.

Great forum, and I love the leffield lexicon of Coach products! I'm hoping someone can help me with the Coach bag I just got from a friend. She received it from her Mother in Law, got bored of it, and passed it on to me.

I can't figure out if it's real or fake.

the 'creed' states made in China with the number: 8Jk-5K66 under it. It's brown with brown leather accents, and 'coach' stamped into the hardware (rings etc) and a metal hang tag with 'coach' stamped into it.

it's fairly large, with leather 'braided' accents and buckles.

please help!
Clueless in Canada :-)

It's authentic, I have that bag in Winter White.
