Bought two small bags fron Craigslist to use as make-up cases. These bags fulfill all the COACH criteria to a tee except for the inside leather tag which reads "This is a coach bag. It was handcrafted in Costa Rica"...and the rest of it is normal wordage. The thick silk brown interior sayd COACH diagonally in a nice, organized pattern. Does anyone know anything about this bag??

Costa Rica bags aren't any different than the ones made in China... they could just be certain styles that are made there though because of a certain material that needs to be used. I'm not sure though. I know that some of the straw ones, for example though, are made in Turkey.

Oh God, I must be getting old. Where do you reference COACH stock pictures from? I have recently come back to COACH and prefer vintage leather but I can't seem to find any pictures previous to this years styles as per COACH website.

Wow, it's kinda weird that the photo of the bag you posted looks like the same style as my daughter's, only different patches. My daughter's bag probably is fake. She bought it in the Bahama's and was able to talk them down to around $30, so I know that she'll feel okay if it's fake... :)

daniellelynn... I scrolled back through the posts and saw the photo of the purse that you posted which looks just like my daughters! (I'm a newbie and still getting used to getting around this site... ha!) OhMyGosh!!! Yours looks almost exactly like hers, except in a different color! :)

No problem! I went to a yardsale and found that bag, so i got it (very very cheap) then found out it was fake. I knew I should have checked on here first! Lol.
