Question It looks good, it smells good but is it a coach?

    Hi folks:
I am looking for some help in Id'ing the name and authenticity of this bag. It is about 12 x 10 X 3 and is all black leather, has a dual zipper, (no embellisments on zip tag) flat handle, brass loops on upper side offset for a shoulder strap with a leather comfort strip with COACH lettering that can be lengthened to be crossover with large leash clips on each end. Inside the bag the flat side has an area for 1 file and 3 pen slots, bordered by 4" wide flat compartments on either side. The other side is deeper for a small laptop(12") with straps (tipped with 2" velcro to keep things from flopping. In the bag was a smaller black pebbled nylon flat bottom bag 9" x 5" x 3.5" with leather tabbed zipper helper on the brass tab. At the closed end is a hand loop and a beaded chain (brass). The only place one sees coach is one side of bag letters on square patch. At the other end there is a 1" leather patch to hold while zipping it closed.

Here are some photosIMG_2991.jpgIMG_2977.JPGIMG_2982.jpgIMG_2983.jpgIMG_2984.jpgIMG_2985.JPGIMG_2986.JPGIMG_2987.JPGI know its a lot of information but hopefully its not to much. Thanks in advance. hankbuck

This might be useful for you:

My only thought is that the serial number on yours is really close to the edge (the 4 is practically in the stitching).

    Wow! Thanks!
I appreciate the feedback. I really put this under the glass to see if it's real. I, pretty sure. The only reservation was the proximity of the last number to the stitching on the creed patch. I'm wondering if anybody has had that same condition on any of their products.

That was when the original China plant first opened. Creeds from new plants often have problems. The style is genuine and might have been called a Computer Liner.

Thanks very much. I can see that being the case. I worked in manufacturing a long time and new startups usually have curves to surmounts and all that. The thing that happens is inventory drops when that happens and the pipeline has to be filled sooo, standards become loosened. I go on too much so thanks again.
