Default Help! How do I get this stain out?!

I got a fingernail scratch on my new legacy Harper satchel and immediately used the coach moisturizer. The end result is that I'm left with a dark stain instead of a scratch on the handle! How do I get it out? It's been more than 24hrs so it seems that the stain is here to stay. Stains on leather are the pits!

What kind of leather is it? Coach's website says:

It should not be used on the following leathers:
    Patent
    Suede
    Haircalf
    Metallic
    Vachetta
    Genuine Exotics
Do not use Coach Leather Moisturizer on the following:
    Pebbled leather
    Water buffalo leather
    Suede or treated suede
    Treated leather
    Nappa leather
    Patent leather
    Vachetta leather
Fabric material (twill, signature fabrics, nylon, satin, metallic, denim)
    Straw
    Haircalf
It can only be used on glove tanned, polished calf, and english bridle.

Thanks for the info. The bag just says genuine leather and I've used the moisturizer on other areas of the bag without any problems. I'm not sure if I used too much on the handle. I just want to know if I need to do something or if it'll disappear on its own.

Hmm, I don't know. It might lighten over time. If not, you could ask a leather repair shop about it.

Have you tried mink oil? It is really good at getting scratches and nicks out of leather.
