    Default Lifetime guarantee? Truth?

I am in the market for my first Coach. :) I have my eye on the Poppy Liquid Pushlock (18675) in cherry and the Madison Patent Lindsey in Plum (18627). I guess it's obvious I'm not a black/brown kind of girl! lol

I have looked at the website and spoken to the Coach sales representative at Von Maur who both state Coach has a lifetime warranty on their products minus the $20 shipping fee. Has anyone had to have their bag worked on and do they really stand behind their products? Obviously they wouldn't be in business if they were truly terrible, but is it a real hassle?

Thanks for any experience you can share!

    Coach website says:

Coach products are made to ensure satisfaction and service for the natural life of the product. If, during its lifetime, your item should require repair, we offer a repair service for many of our products. There is a shipping and handling charge of $20 (plus tax, where applicable) for each item submitted for repair.
Note they say "natural life", so there may be some limitations.

If you're buying from Von Maur, they are usually pretty good about replacing something if it's within a shorter period of time. They have a no questions asked return policy.

There's always that small catch, isn't there? :) I will just be sure to keep my purchase receipt and cross my fingers. I've had some of my Dooneys for ages and never had an issue. There is something to be said about quality and getting what you pay for!

"Natural life of the product" according to Coach used to be seven years. Not sure if that's changed.

I had the handles fray from use on one and Coach told me they would not replace it as it was natural wear... it happened after a year of use... You can buy new handles at the store though.
