You need to show a pic of the creed too....but looking at the outside, I don't think it's real.
^^ I agree, I think it's fake, just from this pic, sorry![]()
You can put your boots in the oven,
but that don't make em biscuits...
I remember seeing polka dotted ones similar to that in the outlet last year , but I think the quality of that bag is not up to Coach standards so it is probably a replica --
OK I got the purse, billfpld, and mini today. I think I already know but will see what you say. It sys on her seller page that this is a style # 6818 but thats not what the bag says. Here are the pics.
The serial number on the tag is Mo794-F10925
If my understanding is correcta coach authentic bag has only four numbers after the dash and that is what the style is. Am I correct? This is a great replica!! And I am MAD!! L
Thanks!

Hi all,
I am new to this forum and found my way here while researching vintage coach handbags. I have an old coach bag that I think is from the 80's based on what I have read. It has the creed stamped into it rather than sewn. Says the bit about being crafted out of leather, it is black with a long strap, has a brass turn style closure and the serial number is 0529 227. The serial has no dashes. If pics would help I can upload some. Thanks for any help you may offer. Peggie
We really need detailed pics to authenticate.![]()
I added pics. Could you look at them for me please? Thanks!!
I did use it and this is the best pics I could get. Did you read the rest of my post underneath the pics about the serial number being 5 numbers after the dash instead of 4? Thanks again
ok, I hope this works :) and thanks again for the help!!! There are a few pics of different aspects of the bag!!

I think this looks fine. It's a factory bag (meaning, it was never in the boutiques) -- that's why the bag has an "F" before the style number. F = Factory. the style number 10925 is correct for this bag. It was available in khaki and black mini-sig.
Factory bags don't always have the same exact features (lining, zipper pulls) as boutique / full-priced bags.
I don't think you have anything to worry about!
I purchased this purse at an upscale neighborhood garage sale. The lady said it was a Coach but after reviewing this site and looking closely at the purse I'm not sure if it is a vintage Coach or a fake. She is having her garage sale tomorrow May 16 and I can return it, if not I will destroy it if it is a fake. I would like to sell it on eBay if it is an authentic Coach but I don't want to have anything to do with a fake. Thanks in advance for your help. Note the patch has the creed but no serial number, is made in USA but says nothing of New York. The zippers seem too new if it is indeed vintage, and the suede lining seems too new for a vintage Coach. It is either in mint condition or I was sold a lemon....
