Default Re: Coach Handbag: Please help authenticate purse! (Part 2)

I have seen grommets like that before, but I'm not familiar enough with the Patricia's Legacy bags to know what would be normal or not. I did look on ebay and I found a couple more with grommets like that. Seems like it's a 94-96-ish type thing? Perhaps that is what they used at one of the factories during that time period. The creeds/serial numbers are not setting any red flags off with me though.

I haven't seen @Hyacinth on here for awhile. She knows a lot about vintage Coach.

    Default Authentic?

A friend has this bag for sale & I don't think it's the real thing. She says it Authentic. The Patch inside has No. 14147. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Patricia

The interior of the bag has C's all over. I've never seen one like this.

Thank you but can you specify? When I tell her, I want to be able to tell her how it's fake.

The lining is a dead giveaway. That is what instantly hits you. The creed patch has the style number for an Op Art Brooke bag, which is similar looking overall but does not have weird sequins/crystals all over it. What's really humorous though is that the fakers went through all that trouble to provide a "plausible" style number (the bag does look generally similar), but then failed to put the date/factory code before the style number. In other words, it should be "No. LettersNumbers - StyleNumber". Yep, no doubt this one is fake.

Default Can someone tell me if this is an authentic coach?

I've had this bag for a while and was told it was authentic but now that I am trying to sale it I keep having issues with its authenticity (understandable). Can anyone tell me if it's legit and if so how would I go about proving it? DSCF8805.jpg042614002251.jpg042614002227.jpg042614002143.jpg042614001933.jpg

It's fake. I don't believe such a style even exists. But a signature (any signature) bag would never have a signature lining. Plus the creed patch does not have an appropriate wording and there is no "serial" number.

Thank you, Ladies, for helping me out on that bag. I have one more that I'm almost positive is a fake because of the signature lining & the number. But I would love your opinion.
    Thank you in advance.

Yep, it's fake. The style number belongs to the classic Demi. And you're correct, you would not find a signature lining in a signature bag. Coach doesn't use zipper pulls like that either.

Is this an authentic Coach? It has all the right details (no stamp on buckles, YKK zippers, creed patch looks okay to me) and the leather feels and smells good BUT when I ran my hand around the inside, I could feel glue residue under an inside seam. I've read that Coach never used glue on legacy bags and presence of glue is proof the bag was made hurriedly in a sweatshop by people under a lot of pressure to work fast. I guess I couldn't feel right carrying a bag made in a sweatshop, so maybe I should return it and get a refund.
