kaylawhitson ... if you're still here I found a similar bag.

Gorgeous COACH Brown Monogrammed Handbag! | eBay
    and
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Slim-C...item460827d045

You can compare your bag with the one posted on the link. I'm sure the nag posted is genuine

    Ernie,

I hope you can catch him/her selling a fake on ebay and put a stop to it.

Thanks last time I tried to go to E bay they told me they can't do anything about it it had been more than 45 days. If this is a fake it is done awfully well it is identical in leather and pattern, only difference is the tag is larger than shown in the picture above and the serial number. So I take it no one has ever heard of a prototype with these numbers? That is what the seller told me was listed on this forum. Thanks

    Hi svt

Unfortunately I have a bad feeling about this bag for the following reasons:

    1. The material looks a bit coarse and from the photo the leather doesn't look like quality leather.
    2. Coach bags with 'CC' signature patterns on the outside should have a solid interior lining or a Coach lozenge logo lining, not a 'CC' pattern lining inside.
    3. No coach tags.

That's REALLY bad advice. NOTHING can be authenticated just from a serial number! There are hundreds of thousands of fake bags that have the correct serial number for the style they're copying. I don't know what site you're getting that information from but it's totally useless.

If we need photos here to verify if something's genuine, how do you think anyone at Coach can verify anything without actually SEEING the item? And the fact that Coach employees have no training in recognising fakes makes that advice even more useless.

I did see something that caught my eye. "If you are about to purchase from an unauthorized dealer, call Coach, their representatives will be more then willing to verify if the authenticity number matches the style." Can I call them and theyd be able to do a better search? Only problem is I dont know what the name of the style is.

Default Re: Can someone authenticate this Coach tote please?

    MORE bad information!

YKK zippers can NEVER prove something is genuine. I suggest you read Salearea's Guide at Ebay on the subject. And please read the others too:
    reviews DOT ebay DOT com/Coach-and-the-YKK-Zipper-Myth-the-Basic-Facts?ugid=10000000040073710

search DOT reviews DOT ebay.com/members/salearea?cpname=members&pr=salearea&uaid=41262657& uan=salearea&uqt=g

Comparing any hangtag to the one pictured in your post #759 is useless, Coach changes hangtag designs regularly and the blue one you're using as "authentic" was made some time before 2005 and hasn't been used since. STOP reading those online "authenticity Guides", you're getting some incredibly bad, out of date, and just plain WRONG information.

The bag in post # 758 is an obvious fake, that serial nuimber belongs ONLY to a Scribble Tote and is in Daria48's Fake Numbers List posted at Ebay. Everyone should have this page Saved and Bookmarked:
    reviews DOT ebay DOT com/Fake-Coach-Serial-Numbers-NT-4903-and-more_W0QQugidZ10000000002744619

That A2J-6094 serial from another set of photos that was mentioned in post # 754 is also a well-know fake number used on thousands of counterfeits, it ONLY belongs to a Signature Demi. It's also mentioned in Daria48's Fakes List. Both of these numbers are used so often in fakes that they should be engraved on the inside of the eyelids of anyone who thinks they "can spot a fake with their eyes closed". And if someone isn't using the Fake Serial Numbers List as a reference, they should think twice about trying to authenticate Coach bags.

The Bleecker Floral Vachetta bag asked about in post #752 may very well be a sample bag, since that style number is often used for samples. Unfortunately unless there are obvious non-Coach features in a bag marked as a sample, they're almost impossible to authenticate because some details may have been changed before production began. I don't see any obvious problems though, it may be genuine but there's no way to be sure.

I don't know what site is being refered to in Post 760 but their advice is totally worthless. See my previous post.

The two bags mentioned in post 767 CAN'T be compared to the FAKE in post 753 and 758 and declared real by love_vintage. Not only are the two genuine bags totally different styles, but as I said before the style number in the fake doesn't even belong to a Carly. VERY bad advice.

I hope the Original Posters who asked about the Bleecker and the fake Carly are still reading.

I believe this is the Bleecker Floral Model...

    Compare it to this

It could be the camera and lighting but the colour looks off in yours, the shape on the upper portion of the bag seems slightly off as well (too straight and less of a hobo effect?)

Hyacinth - Thank you for providing some extra info. I haven't been in this thread for awhile and I had to go back to see which posts you were referring to. I agree with your assessments.

Is there a reason you didn't make a hyper link to that guide? It is a very helpful guide that others should read. I can fix the links if it wasn't intentional to have them like that.

I wasn't sure if the forum software allowed links to off-site pages and I'm used to posting links that way at Ebay's formus since the ones posted as html have a habit of getting reported if the forum police don't like them. Here are the full links:

Nope, links to stuff like that is perfectly fine. We just remove spam and stuff like that.
