Based on what I've learned from other folks on this site and elsewhere, I would agree this is a fake. Foremost, a patterned bag won't have a patterned lining. Also, the fact that she expects your to "trust" that the bag has been verified by Coach is a red flag. You should be able to check on the creed yourself and due your own due diligence.

Is there ANY possible way that it could have come from an Outlet? We have one close and that is where she claims it was purchased.
I am an admin on the site that she is trying to sell it on and want to make sure I give her the correct info on why I think it's fake when
I go to delete her post, so can you give me some reasons? Like I said...I no nothing about Coach since I've never owned one.

The only thing I could think of what the fact that the C's were on the inside and outside....but again...I'm a Coach dummy....lol

Will a fake Coach purse always have the CC lining. I have just recently started buying on Ebay and have bought a purse and i got it in the mail. It white leather and is nice cute little HOBO bag, but me being a first time buyer.... i think i got dupped... Do real Coach purse ever have a CC lining

it is a top handle solid leather bag. These are the sellers pictures and i will get a better one when i go home for lunch.

The style is right although it originally would have had that Logo lining. However this was probably the last year for that Coach plant and for Coach bags to be made in the US before being completely transferred to China so it's possible they took a few short cuts, or that that bag was made for the Outlets since the Lexington line had pretty much been discontinued by then. I'm not 100 percent sure that it's real but it could be, the creed is a bit strange.

No, fake purses don't always have C linings. There are a ton of them that do but there were also many genuine bags from the early to mid-2000s that had high-quality woven jacquard C-pattern linings, and they were being made as late as 2007.

We still need to see more photos but the lining in yours resembles the kind used in genuine bags. It will usually have a bit of a shimmer, and the Cs are woven differently than the rest of the fabric so that the light catches and shows them differently than the background fabric. Sometimes they'll look like a slightly different shade or color too depending on the light.

Most of the time (not always!) the cheaper the fabric looks the more likely that it's fake. Printed Cs are fake 95 percent of the time, whether they're the old-style Signature Cs or the newer Op Art style. And shimmer or no, any handbag lined with a shiny MINI-C pattern usually in gold, black or brown will always be fake. Mini-C lining wasn't used in purses.

I bought this bag of craigslist. When I first saw it I analyzed it and thought it was real, since I watched a few youtube videos how to tell if they are fake.

The only thing I noticed after seeing it more closely at home, that the bottom C's don't align. Do you guys think this bag is real or fake?
