I found one of my first ever Coach bags in a box in the basement and I was wondering if anyone could help me with authenticating it. Now I'm pretty certain it's real; I got it from Coach. HOWEVER I can't seem to find a serial number! It's driving me crazy! It's small, canvas with a leather handle. The Cs all look to be aligned. It's a box-shaped bag, brown canvas signature C, very small, one leather handle. From the late 90s or early 200s.

If you guys could help, I would be eternally grateful :D
Sorry, I didn't see this post. This is a top handle pouch. For awhile there, they weren't putting creed patches in small leather goods. That would explain why you can't find the number.

    Hello :]

    inkFrog

This is a "Vintage Coach crossbody bag" being sold on eBay
Is this an authentic bag? I have heard from other posts that early 80s-90s bags lack characteristics of the more recent Coach bags.

    I'm inexperienced in identifying authenticity...

Edit: I have found a similar listing but with a bag of pink color: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-80s-PINK...item4cfb00918a Is this authentic as well?

This doesn't look like an 80s bag. You can't see the number below the creed, but if you look at the creed format it is the format that they started using in the 90s.

This isn't authentic so you probably don't want to buy it.

    Please Help authenticate this!

I've found a Japanese Link with the pictures of the purse I bought today at a local store. There are a few out there similar to it I've seen on Ebay and such but in different colors.

Here is the link to the pictures of the purse I have, everything on mine looks exact to theirs so I won't bother taking my own. I'm just curious as to it's authenticity.

http://douxperenoel.com/SHOP/10804711.html (This Link is in Japanese, and can be translated through the browser automatically)

Exterior is in great condition, Leather, Wool, and Suede are all flawless.
Interior is in great condition, Blue (Satin I think), and Leather Serial Tag have no wear.
The hardware all works, and the Zipper hardware has YKK engraved into it.
It still has the Coach Hangtag as well.

If it is indeed real, how much would it be worth? The Japanese site says 19,500 yen (250+ dollars)? I almost don't believe it for what I paid.

Thank you to anyone that helps me out.

They don't provide very detailed pictures, so it is hard to tell. This style does exist though and it was made for the factory outlets. I would guess people were probably able to buy it there for $100 (if $250 was the suggested retail and then it was marked down and they had an additional % off sale). So a used one would sell for less.

EDIT: Found one on Bonanza, they say the suggested retail was $298. I'm still thinking they could be purchased at the outlet for around $100. Especially since this one on Bonanza is new and they are selling it for $149. They have to mark it up a bit in order for it to be worth it since Bonanza changed their fees.

Thank you very much, I've seen it on Bonanza through CoutureUSA.com and didn't know whether or not they were a legit service. They also only had one picture whereas the site i found had several. All signs point to it being authentic, my purse is in just as good of shape as that purse if not better. Again, thank you for the quick response.

Here is a link to the one I was talking about on Bonanza. If you scroll down, they have pretty good pictures. It is just the pink version instead of the tan version.

Bonanza is like ebay, only sellers have booths with a BIN or best offer, rather than an auction. So you should be wary, just like on ebay. This particular seller seems legit though.

    Hi everyone,

I work for an estate liquidation company and we came across what appears to be a vintage red leather Coach purse in one of our estates. The number is 0495-307. I would appreciate any help with authenticating and, if it's real, identifying the style and approximate year it was made. Thank you for your time.

    Sincerely,

You don't see a lot of those bags with the nob-style snap. I have seen them before, but don't know if it was some sort of collection or what. Going by the serial number format (XXXX-XXX), it is from the 1980s.

Hi! It's been a while since I have posted on the forum. Sorry for the following long post:

I'm in Japan, and I was trying to buy a Coach bag from the U.S.Coach website. They have Coach shops here of course ,but the mark ups and customs are insane! The bag I want is 198.00 USD which goes for 44,000 yen or 563.00 USD

The transaction went okay , I used my U.S. credit card and I have a shipping company I use to ship things from The States to Japan. Unfortunately, they cancelled my order and didn't even tell me. It was a kinda birthday present to myself

So i decided to go to Ebay and try my luck there. Out of impulse, I got this:

Can someone please help me authenticate this? It was the same style I wanted in the first place, but I just want to double check.

    Thank you very much
