HOWEVER I can't seem to find a serial number! It's driving me crazy! It's small, canvas with a leather handle. The Cs all look to be aligned. It's a box-shaped bag, brown canvas signature C, very small, one leather handle. From the late 90s or early 200s.

If you guys could help, I would be eternally grateful :D

Sorry, I didn't see this post. This is a top handle pouch. For awhile there, they weren't putting creed patches in small leather goods. That would explain why you can't find the number.

This is a "Vintage Coach crossbody bag" being sold on eBay
Is this an authentic bag? I have heard from other posts that early 80s-90s bags lack characteristics of the more recent Coach bags.

I'm inexperienced in identifying authenticity...

This doesn't look like an 80s bag. You can't see the number below the creed, but if you look at the creed format it is the format that they started using in the 90s.

I've found a Japanese Link with the pictures of the purse I bought today at a local store. There are a few out there similar to it I've seen on Ebay and such but in different colors.

Here is the link to the pictures of the purse I have, everything on mine looks exact to theirs so I won't bother taking my own. I'm just curious as to it's authenticity.

Exterior is in great condition, Leather, Wool, and Suede are all flawless.
Interior is in great condition, Blue (Satin I think), and Leather Serial Tag have no wear.
The hardware all works, and the Zipper hardware has YKK engraved into it.
It still has the Coach Hangtag as well.

If it is indeed real, how much would it be worth? The Japanese site says 19,500 yen (250+ dollars)? I almost don't believe it for what I paid.

They don't provide very detailed pictures, so it is hard to tell. This style does exist though and it was made for the factory outlets. I would guess people were probably able to buy it there for $100 (if $250 was the suggested retail and then it was marked down and they had an additional % off sale). So a used one would sell for less.

EDIT: Found one on Bonanza, they say the suggested retail was $298. I'm still thinking they could be purchased at the outlet for around $100. Especially since this one on Bonanza is new and they are selling it for $149. They have to mark it up a bit in order for it to be worth it since Bonanza changed their fees.

Bonanza is like ebay, only sellers have booths with a BIN or best offer, rather than an auction. So you should be wary, just like on ebay. This particular seller seems legit though.

I work for an estate liquidation company and we came across what appears to be a vintage red leather Coach purse in one of our estates. The number is 0495-307. You don't see a lot of those bags with the nob-style snap. I have seen them before, but don't know if it was some sort of collection or what. Going by the serial number format (XXXX-XXX), it is from the 1980s.
