From what I can tell, they both seem to be authentic. The red one is newer and came from an outlet. The black one appears to be from the 1980s, based on the format of the serial number.

i typed out the creed info (below). the only thing about the red one is that on of the brads is slightly imperfect, positionally on the bag, and that seems odd.

can you elaborate on how you know from the serial number that the black one is probably from the 80's? thanks!

^^^ If you read the info in the link I gave you, that is the format that was used during that time (xxxx-xxx).

    Default Need Help With Authentication

Just found two Coach bags, one is defintely vintage I believe, but need to authenticate.
The number on the black microfiber backpack with teal blue lining is E05J-8F28 and the number on the older blue leather bag is simply 1007. Thanks for any help you can give me!

As far as I know, Coach didn't have serial numbers in either of those formats. You could post pics if you want and we can take a look at them.

Could anyone please tell me if this looks legit? It's accompanied by a gift receipt and a dust bag. It's the Vintage Hamptons Hobo from a few years ago. The only reason I'm doubting it is because it's the first time I've seen this bag in this light green colour, I didn't know it existed! I also doubted it because the seller said they bought it brand new a few months ago, and this style is from a 2007 collection, so I asked about that and then she told me it was an outlet store that she bought it from on clearance so that might explain it.

Paulisse, that is an unusual color, but it looks perfectly fine to me.
It is definitely an outlet bag and yes, they do have some older season pieces in there sometimes. Does not mean it is fake.
I think the bag is good.
