Ahh please don't take my word for it alone!
I love to help if I can, but I'm in no way an expert, I'm still learning things myself.
It looked authentic to me because I've seen others exactly like it.
the vintage ones are more difficult to authenticate

Re: Coach Handbag: Please help authenticate purse! (Part 2)
I am new here and found your site and threads really interesting. I've owned this coach bag which I purchased at Macys in NYC 34th street in 1988. The creed reads as follows:
COACH
LEATHERWARE
THIS IS A COACH BAG. IT IS MADE
OUT OF A COMPLETELY NATURAL
GLOVE TANNED COWHIDE. THE
SCARS, SCRATCHES, VEINS
AND WRINKLES ARE NATURAL
MARKINGS CHARACTERISTIC
OF FULL-GRAIN LEATHERS.
MADE IN NEW YORK CITY, U.S.A.
NO. 674 8706
- I know it is real. I was just wondering if anyone would know how much this bag would be worth today? (I'll post a photo later when I am allowed to do so by this site... shees!)
thanks!

No pics.
Hard to say how much a vintage item will go for - better to check prior listings on e*bay so that you can get an idea. You can search "vintage coach" and look at completed listings to see final selling price.

Re: Coach Handbag: Please help authenticate purse! (Part 2)
I'm new here and trying to find my first good deal on a Coach bag. I found this website in my quest to find this particular Coach bag. My gut it is telling me they are fakes. Can anyone confirm?
I really love this bag.

Hi OneSweetRide!
Sorry, that bag looks off for several reasons: Plastic on the handles (never a good sign), the style is a Carly but the print is a newer Optic print. Carly never came in that color Optic.
I'd stay far away....

Thats what I thought. I like the Carly style and that print, but I don't remember seeing that exact bag when I walk past the Coach store.
Thank you!

Thank you for responding. I wasn't allowed to post a photo because I am new?
I was inquiring because I was afraid I was making a mistake in offering my vintage bag for so low, but I haven't used it in years and I have to get rid of some stuff at home so its Ebay or Charity. I was actually able to sell my vintage doctor satchel for $68.00. I purchased it for $260.00 back in 1988. It was my very first expensive and brand bag. But alas, I can't keep holding on to things for sentimental reasons, etc... So may someone else enjoy it. Thank you!

Re: Coach Handbag: Please help authenticate purse!
Hi, I found this Coach handbag at a second hand store and I would like to know if it is authentic before I buy it. It looks real, but the creed tag says handcrafted in Turkey. I've never seen this before. The serial number is H32-6351. Thanks.
