I've found there to be heaps of rip off Chanels around, especially the quilted versions. But, I've seen more inspired versions than I have seen balant rip offs.
Hmm. I think that really all designer bags are prone to having their logo or design riped off. From what I noticed, well in the seattle area is that there more fake Louis Vuitton handbags than any other designer, second would be Coach and then Prada and Buberry. I dont think I have really ever seen a fake Chanel handbag in person. Well maybe one or two but not quantities.
I see fake chanel everywhere as well. And they are easy to spot just by looking at the material
Most fakes are made of plastic from what I have seen so I can easily tell..
I have to say the fakes are getting smarter, as it IS leggal to sell "insipred" fakes i.e. without identicle labels and/or logos i was at the markets the other day and laughing and checking out all the fakes, i came to a shop which had alot of chanel stuff, my friend and i played dumb and pretended we were interested in them, we went to the counter and litterally laught at how bad the fakes were, instead of double cc's ther were oo's (if you get what i mean) the asian lady who ran the store walked over and told us about how illegal fakes were and that hers werent fakes, she said her bags were "very cleaverly" made by "china bagmakers" she said they looked like double oo's but were stiched as double cc's so when you go home you cut the pieces in between the o's to create the c's, my jaw dropped at how bad this was!!!!! you can get fakes that aren't fakes but you make into a fake!
