Thread: Chanel Summer Tote

So this past Friday, I was one of the lucky Sex & The City fans in my hometown to obtain tickets to watch the movie. I must say that it’s the perfect film for any label craving fashionista to watch. I swear each scene filmed numerous designer bags over bags.

One of the many handbags seen throughout the movie was this large Chanel “CC” tote. Isn’t this bag the perfect Chanel Summer Bag? Its overall appearance definitely gives off that vibe. Though I must be honest with myself, this isn’t the nicest Chanel bag I’ve seen. As a matter of fact, when I spotted this tote for the first time, (during the film), I had mixed feeling towards it. I guess this is one of those designs where some will lean towards the like side, and others towards the dislike.

So what do you girls think? Is this yet another Chanel masterpiece? Or does this bag look way too cheap and not really Chanel “material”? Personally, I don’t dislike it, but I’m not going wild towards it either. I just can’t justify the braided rope handles making any handbag look couture or runway type. The tan linen body would also not be my material of choice on a Chanel bag. I guess this is one of those bags you must borrow and "play" with for a while, to see if it's worth investing on.

Yeah... it was Samantha... I wasn't too sure if it was Samantha or Carrie who carried this bag.

I really like the bag but I can so see it now being faked on the shoulders of teens everywhere.
