Re: How to tell FAKE Chanel
I didn't realise there was a thread like this... Anyone with more info? This is great help for people looking to buy a preowned Chanel bag.

I was just curious - does the quilting line up at the sides as well? I know it's meant to be congruous front, back and pocket/flap, but am not sure if it's meant to be congruent at the sides. I'm shopping around for a proper Chanel cambon but am confused with the heaps of variations out there and the multitude of answers.
Cheers!

The color combo is authentic, however if you have questions about a specific bag from ebay, etc. post it over in the authentication thread and someone will definitely be glad to help!

Re: How to tell FAKE Chanel
Quick question... The first poster said that there was no such thing as a beige and black cambon reporters bag. Does that mean a black bag with beige C's or a beige bag and black C's?

I don't recall the OP saying anything about Cambon Reporter bags specifically. She mentioned the Cambon line, which has a variety of styles. As far as the black and beige combination goes, I believe it is the black bag with the beige C's that does not exist. I have seen an authentic Cambon Bucket that was beige with black C's. I think I have also seen the Bowler style in that color combination. I'm pretty sure that the Reporter comes in that color combination though as well.
