Oh... well yeah it's not authentic.... THe box itself should have been a major giveaway, (that is not an authentic Chanel box)

i don't think i ever remember Chanel producing this "style" during any of its seasons. besides there are so many things that make it "un-like" Chanel-i.e., the metal "Chanel" nameplate in between the handles, the hardware/rings attaching the straps to the body of the bag, the small metal CCs near the sides of the bag are little OTT, IMO, the white Chanel emblem enclosed in a circle in the middle of the bag (wth?)......get closeup pics, the stitching is probably off and the fabric is not looking like the good-quality Chanel leather. oh dear, i'd hate to see the interior

there's just too many red flags up for me on this one.....

^^^ Yep, I agree. Chanel never produced a style like this... plus the features just aren't things that Chanel would put on their bags. What is up with that plate anyway?

Hi,
So, this isn't a 'bag' question, but, it's a Chanel question. Did Chanel ever make passport holders? I've recently seen a few on some of the auction websites, and I've never seen them on the Chanel websites, or stores. The one I've been eyeing is red, patent leather with gold C's.

Chanel always makes white cc's on black or black cc's on black or black cc's on pink.
Usually for the classics the in side of that bags are hot pink.

I just purchased a chanel from this place that i cant remember, but it had an "authentication" card with number 10218184. I thought it was real until it broke. and real chanels dont break that easily.

Yep, that's a known fake serial number that is used for a ton of fake bags complete with fake authentication cards. I'm sorry that happened to you.

New here and just got my Chanel bag for my birthday....it was purchased from a Chanel boutique so definitely not a fake. It was made in France not Italy. Many are probably made in Italy but not all. Just wanted to clarify!

Thanks for the post regarding that chanel serial number cos that confirms the chanel i got is a fake cos it has the same serial number 10218184...

These fakes are getting better...the one i got even as the chanel logo where that serial number is on the label inside the bag
