I've heard mixed thoughts about them... If your going for a high-priced item, it's best to check the manufacturer's site or call them and get a list of retailers licensed to sell their products, that way you get the real deal.

I disagree some say you might not be able to get NEW authentic Chanel ... I know for fact that sometimes you can get some mint (used once or twice) or (NIB) BRAND New in box Chanel that are given to some as gift and was never used. Good luck!

Contrary to popular belief, Chanel DOES go on sale! I know first hand because I've bought Chanel on sale at Neiman Marcus. I also received an invitation from the Chanel boutique for their private sale last Winter. BTW, businesses just pay Malleries a fee to basically be advertised or gain visibility.

Anyway, if you really look, you can find some Chanel bags that are brand new and discounted - there is an actual Chanel outlet that exists. The only site that I could find that sold brand new bags at a discount and were authentic was authenticbagsforless.com. Other than that, I couldn't find new bags (well besides ebay). I really want to try the outlet mall, but I couldn't be farther away from New York!

Well, I owe my vintage Chanel collection to eBay Seller: mimiaction: Clothing, Shoes Accessories, Jewelry Watches items on eBay.com.
I adore her, she sells amazing items, hard to find items, and there is always room for negotiation.
But, that being said, always, always, always get things authenticated before you purchase. Even though I adore her, I still get everything authenticated first. It's nothing personal, it's just being careful.
