only the repairmen (chanel handbag craftmen?) oops don't know which right word to use, they will know 100% whether the bag is fake or real.

I read before from another forum is that, this lady bought her reissue 2.55 from her friend, she carried her bag to different chanel stores and the SAs in all the different stores said that her bag is real.

But ended up her reissue is actually a fake because the reissue never came out of that color with silver hardware at all. When you carry a real bag in, they say it's a fake. When you carry a real bag in, they say it's a fake. Kinda irony and sad at times.

Send the bag for refurbishment, best way to know whether your bag is authentic or not.

This is bc most of the SAs at the CHANEL boutiques have huge sticks up their you know where. Any time I've gone to CHANEL, they ignore you. It doesn't matter if you're wearing an LV bag that costs $1000 or a CHANEL bag that costs $2000. Unless you look like you're going to buy something from them, they don't even try and help. The nicest person at the CHANEL boutique near Cental Park was the door man.

These are the kinds of stores I enjoy bringing my children with me to.

It's amazing how quickly and efficient they are at serving me.

She is right, Chanel SA's are just not qualified to do authentications....especially on older bags. Many of these people were not even working three when the bags were first sold new and the hallmarks change over the years. They don't teach them how to authenticate older bags. They barely know anything about the bags they are currently selling! Often we tell them things that they don't have a clue about! lol!

some SA cant tell if a bag is real or not,or if a vintage,dont know the style as haven't worked within the company long enough.i found a vintage bag,a number of SA thought fake,as had never seen that style,the older staff,knew the bag was real,year it was made ect
