I am looking at a bag that is said to be from the 80's. The seller says that at that time they did not make them with stickers, cards, or any other form of authentication. Is that true?

From what I hear the hologram stickers were added to bags created after 1984.

It looks fake to me only because it doesn't look like leather. It could just be the flash or something.

Need close up pic of the hologram sticker. Does it come with authenticity card with numbers that correspond with the sticker? And need close up pics of the "Made in.." and pic of the screws at the back of the CC closure.

Yes, stickers are in bags from mid 1980s onwards. But you could probably tell authenticity from the "Made in..." stamp - alignment and should match the colour of the hardware ie. gold with gold, silver with silver, the screws behind CC closure should be flat and not phillips head or check the zipper manufacturer. If it's a quilted bag, the quilting should line up.

unfortunately i dont actually have the bag myself, someone is selling it and emailed me these pics.
They have told me there is a card that matches the number on the bag.
everything looks fine and authentic apart from the cc's on the inside of the bag, notice how they seem thinner, is it meant to be like this???

Ok, did those pics come that small? How many feedbacks does the seller have. Those pics are not good enough. Some very good fakes have got matching hologram and card. You would need to see what the sticker looks like - font and gold flecks etc. And also what the card looks like, the reflection on the gold band. Even close up of how the CC hardware interlocks. I think the CC look on the red is too thin too.

I got this bag today from a friend's friend. It is the Flap Bag in Aged Quilted Calf Skin from the A/W 08-09 Pre Collection.

But How do I make sure it is 100% authentic. I am 99% sure.

*It has the authenticity card, the number matches the number on the little sticker inside (8 digits) placed on the inner lower corner of the inside.
*The authenticity card has a gold rim
*There was also a little booklet about care and leather.
*Inside it says Made in France inside in silver letters
*Also has the CC logo embroidered inside on the flap

Does anyone have this bag? How many digits is the authenticity number have usually?

Any advice?

That's a fake serial number and the sticker is in the wrong place. Also, I believe that zipper pull on the inside is supposed to a leather tab.
