Botkier Joy Satchel: Benefiting Oxfam America
Botkier Joy Satchel: Benefiting Oxfam America

Joy Bryant has teamed up with Monica Botkier to bring us the Botkier Joy Satchel. Bryant is one of Oxfam America's Sisters on the Planet ambassadors. "It’s an initiative engaging women of all walks of life to raise awareness about the environment", says Bryant. The relief and anti-poverty organization specializes in helping communities, all around the world, realize individualized solutions to their problems. To help them in their efforts, Botkier will be donating 50% of the proceeds from the sale of these bags.
So what do I make of the Botkier Joy Satchel? I like it! But it definitely has a more casual feel than other Botkier bags. The leather topstitching featured on the front bias seams is cute and quirky. This bag has... oh, what's the word... country charm. It would look really nice with today's so-called "vintage" look, but without the risk of looking too trendy (and could therefore be carried over into different looks). I am also liking the cute little pouch that comes with this bag. It is the perfect size for use as a cosmetic bag! And, of course, the optional shoulder strap provides some versatility to this top-handled style. This bag would definitely make an excellent investment piece!

The Botkier Joy Satchel is available exclusively at ShopBop.com, where it can be purchased for $575.
Also check out Oxfam America's official website!

I like it. It would make the perfect casual weekender. Plus the fact that 50% is donated to a cause makes this even more amazing

I do like Joy Bryant... but I'm not really into this bag. I like the fact that some of it's proceeds are being donated also.
